Short CV

Charis Tsigkounis is an Associate Researcher at the University of Piraeus Research Center. He is currently providing assistant research via his participation in the European programme “InteropEHRate” being responsible for the implementation of health data exchange protocols. He received his BSc from the Computer Science Department of the University of Crete in 2019 and his MSc from the Informatics and Telematics Department of the Harokopio University of Athens in 2021 in the area of “Web Engineering”. As a Postgraduate Student he has received three scholarships for his excellent performance. His research interests revolve around Data Science and Web Development, with emphasis on the fields of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Mining, Interpretability and Electronic Health.

Study the various methods for the interpretation of Artificial Intelligence systems in order to make these systems act fairly without exclusions.

Optimal Data Exchange Protocols

Approach to exchange data in short-range distances using a newly specified Device-to-Device (D2D) protocol on top of Bluetooth technologies, supporting the requirements of a citizen and a Healthcare Practitioner during a medical visit scenario.
